About
Building software around memory, trust, and human judgement.
Merlin Brouwer is a founder and product thinker based in the UK, currently studying Economics, Psychology, and Philosophy at the University of Warwick. His work sits at the intersection of technology, human relationships, and structured thought.
Merlin's background is unusual for a software founder. He grew up performing internationally — including performing at World Youth Day 2016 in Kraków in front of Pope Francis, and contributing to recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios for Laika Entertainment's Kubo and the Two Strings.
That early exposure to discipline, performance, and international environments shaped a lasting interest in how people communicate, build trust, and remember what matters. He has since worked as a contracted composer for Luca Faloni and co-founded Burlova Concierge, a luxury service brand featured in Luxuria Lifestyle.
His professional experience spans luxury hospitality alongside exposure to organisations such as Bain & Company and KPMG.
Through Sell Seashells, Merlin is building products that bring structure to human memory, trust, and interaction — drawing on an unusual cross-disciplinary foundation in music, service, economics, psychology, philosophy, and technology.

Philosophy
“The most valuable things in life — trust, memory, understanding — are the hardest to systematise. That's exactly why they're worth building for.”
